Held on 13 October 2023, the event brought together a dynamic mix of industry leaders, academic experts, and entrepreneurs to explore transformative ideas and forge meaningful partnerships.
With over 50 industry delegates, 200 research scholars, and 8 startups showcasing their innovations, the Shivir served as a vibrant platform for dialogue, discovery, and development. The roundtable sessions and tech bridge initiatives enabled participants to engage in focused discussions on regulatory pathways, funding opportunities, and translational research strategies.
The event was inaugurated by distinguished dignitaries from academia, industry, and government, who emphasized the critical role of MSMEs in driving affordable healthcare solutions. Key sessions addressed pressing topics such as intellectual property strategies, investment trends, compliance frameworks, and market access for healthcare startups. These discussions were designed to equip participants with actionable insights and tools to navigate the complex landscape of product development and commercialization.
One of the highlights of the Shivir was the interactive stalls set up by participating startups, which showcased cutting-edge technologies in nanoformulations, drug delivery systems, and diagnostic platforms. These exhibits not only demonstrated the technical capabilities of emerging ventures but also attracted interest from potential collaborators and investors.
DPSRU-CRTDH played a central role in facilitating these interactions, offering its state-of-the-art infrastructure—including wet labs, testing facilities, and preclinical imaging systems—as a resource hub for MSMEs. The event also featured a series of panel discussions with experts from organizations such as USFDA, DRDO, and leading pharmaceutical companies. These sessions provided clarity on global regulatory expectations, quality assurance practices, and the evolving role of data in product lifecycle management.
By the end of the day, the MSME Chintan Shivir had successfully catalyzed new collaborations, inspired fresh ideas, and reaffirmed the importance of inclusive innovation. It underscored the value of bringing together diverse stakeholders to co-create solutions that are not only scientifically robust but also socially impactful.
